The First Snow 27/12/97 1:37 pm Charles Dum Perhaps you'll see, In dandy old grandiosity- The near silent fall, Of snow off a tree. If you do, Be sure and still. With not a one Stirring with a chill. If stillness Is not ensured, The effect is Much more blurred. But oh the smell, Of new fallen snow! The clean, crisp air As the wind slightly blows. So clean I feel Like I'm in the middle of an ocean- Almost as if I were to lay down in the snow I would dissapear for at least a millenium! So calm, so peaceful- May I drift away? I wish I could- Wouldn't yesterday, but maybe today.
