One of the things poetry does best is to explore the gray areas: the ill-defined regions between genre expectations, those thematic realms which disturb while leaving us inarticulate about exactly what it is that disturbss us. Poetry is a form permitting us to grapple head-on with that inarticulateness, encouraging work about that very grasping after meaning.
